🎉 Looking Back: STRATHCONA BLOCKS PARTY 2024! 🎉
This year’s Strathcona Blocks Party was an event to remember, and we’re excited to share some of the highlights with you! Hosted by the fantastic Low Tide Properties, the day was a true celebration of everything that makes this community special. On June 22nd, 2024, the 600-900 block of E Hastings was activated with activities for the whole family, while highlighting all of the amazing local small businesses in this East Vancouver community.
The Strathcona Blocks Party turned this beloved neighborohood into a lively hub of activities, music, and local artistry. Here’s a look at what made the day so special:
🎨 Fun for the Kids: The Kid Zone at 840 E Hastings was a hit! With free face painting, chalk art, and giant games, the kids had plenty to keep them entertained. Local musicians and artists filled the air with energy, while food trucks served up tasty treats to keep everyone fueled for the fun.
🍻 Beer Garden: The party didn’t end when the sun started to set. The beer garden, courtesy of Strathcona Beer at 895 E Hastings, kept the good vibes flowing until 8pm, offering a perfect spot to kick back with friends and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
🛹 Skateboard Showdowns: Campbell Avenue was buzzing with action, thanks to the skateboard ramp that attracted skaters of all skill levels.
🛍️ Artisan Market curated by us! The Made in the 604 artisan market was a gold mine of unique finds, with local vendors offering everything from handcrafted jewelry to one-of-a-kind art pieces to vintage thrifted clothing finds. It was the perfect place to pick up something special to remember the day by.
